Stuart’s work reaches all areas of education and community, his skills adapt in a variety of settings with participants with a range of learning needs and skills. .

Past education projects have taken place in a variety of settings such as: Greenwich And Docklands International Festival (London), The Children’s Edinburgh Festival, The Royal School For The Deaf, Deal Castle (Dover), Whitley Court (Worcester), Watergate Bay (Cornwall), The Theatre Royal Newcastle, Zanzibar (Tanzania) and The Eden Project (Cornwall), as well as town centres, schools, youth clubs and village halls.

In addition to delivery across England and Scotland as an independent artist, for companies such as Rambert Dance Company, Stuart has also helped to deliver international education and community projects in Norway, Sweden, Jordon, Palestine, Beirut, Tanzania and Ethiopia.

Youth dance

Stuart has worked extensively in youth dance, working with Youth Dance England, U-dance and held the post of Artist Director of HED:Strong (East Sussex).

Stuart has had a total of 10 choreographic commissions creating work with Centre for Advanced Training schemes (CATs) around the country including Dance4, Yorkshire Young Dancers, Cornwall Youth, Swindon Dance youth dance academy, The Place, Laban and the Lowry. Stuart also teaches as a visiting artist delivering dance technique classes, contact improvisation and partnering skills, other characteristic of Stuart’s work and delivery.

Stuart is part of the teaching teams at Dance East and Trinity Laban Centre for Advanced Training schemes (CATs) where Stuart teaches release-based technique, floor work, contact improvisation, partnering skills and choreography.
