Audio Described Films
a collection of films that include audio description for blind and partially sighted people
Audio description is a service where the visual elements of a production are described as the action unfolds, so the user has full access to the theatrical experience.
The action is described, as well as other visual information such as the set, facial expressions and visual jokes that a blind or partially sighted member of the audience might otherwise miss.
The description is delivered in between the dialogue of a performance and, in a theatre, is picked up by the audience member wearing a special lightweight headset that is easy to use.
Stuart first toured ROCKBOTTOM with audio description and captioning, and is now committed to providing this access for his future creations.
As part of this commitment to make his performances as accessible as possible, these films have audio description.
